NEXT TRAINING: June 15-16, 2013
Our training gives you basic infomation and skills to lead laughter yoga groups, use Laughter Yoga in your work (or play), or make presentations about laughter yoga.
Laughter Yoga promotes physical and emotional health, social skills, and motivation and performance in children and adults. It has shown amazing results in groups of students, workers, medical patients, subjects in research projects, and others.
Certified Laughter Leader Training is usually presented on two eight-hour weekend days. In it we present the history, principles, and techniques of Laughter Yoga, as well as information and research related to health benefits, and applications of Laughter Yoga in various settings or populations of people. We give verbal, power point, and video presentations from around the world, with ample demonstration and practice.
Graduates receive certification from Laughter Yoga International, along with listing of their free events and laughter club meetings on www.laughteryoga.org. Certified Laughter Yoga Leaders may subscribe to the Laughter Yoga Prozone, where they can publish their leader profile and their specific events or meetings and find a wealth of additional information and resources for Laughter Yoga practice and application.
Susan and Luther have conducted trainings at their offices, their home, and in settings such as a hospital, community clinic and outreach center, and yoga studio.

Laughter Presentations in the Community
Susan and Luther give presentations to various community groups. The presentations can vary in length and focus and have been given for such groups as the university agricultural extension service, church groups, wellness fairs, yoga studios, senior fitness classes, the Tennessee Association of Drug and Alcohol Counselors, the U.S. Attorney's Office, and Nashville Public Library Staff Day and Metro Nashville Social Workers citywide conference, and Nashville's Mental Health Cooperative.
Susan Ludwig and other members of Laughter Yoga Nashville have also led periodic laughter yoga sessions with residents of retirement homes. Laughterworks-trained Leaders Linda Hensley and Marge Wozny bring Laughter Yoga to homeless individuals at Nashville's Room Inn the Inn. Laughter at Work
Sometimes work can be pretty grim.. What's to laugh about? Well, there's encouraging evidence that practicing laughter at work can help us in a number of ways. After reading this article, you may want to call Back In Touch to let us help you reap some of its benefits
A case in point: Dr. Madan Kataria, founder of Laughter Yoga International, led a laughter seminar at a time-share sales company in Honolulu . That day, the company had its best sales of the year!
At another company in Bombay , the owners instituted laughing practice for 15 minutes each day. Over the course of a year, they found increased morale and productivity and lowered absenteeism. The company's business doubled, which the owners attributed largely to the the daily laughter practice.
Experimental studies at IT companies in the US and India have found that regular laughter practice also decreased blood pressure and stress hormone production, decreased negative feelings, and increased positive emotions, sociability, and feelings of effectiveness in the workers.
It just makes sense that laughter can help us relax, get along with others. As we relax, it can also help us get out of ruts and be more productive and creative.
Laughterworks can bring Laughter Experiences to your workplace in one-time presentations, regular laughter breaks, or leader trainings for your staff.
